Job summary

Coastal Community Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Representative, Level 1, to cross-sell services of Coastal Community Insurance Services (2007) Ltd. and the Credit Union.

The role reports to the Agency Manager and involves ICBC and general insurance duties, including clerical tasks, training others, and community engagement. The ideal candidate holds a secondary school diploma and an insurance Level 1 license, with readiness to obtain Level II within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma.
• Applicable licensing concurrent with Level 1 position.
• Prepared to obtain Level II license within 24 months as directed by Insurance Manager.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-selling abilities.
• Proficient in ICBC related computer systems and PC operations.

Responsibilities

• Organizing, controlling and distributing batching, inventory, stock reconciliations, banking and other ICBC agency functions.
• Performing clerical and general insurance office tasks.
• Training and/or assisting in ICBC and general insurance transactions; may train others.
• Promoting the organization in the community in a positive manner.
• Ensuring department work meets standards in presentation, quality and timeliness.
