Job summary

Family Innovation Corp. is seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory, AML, privacy, licensing, and online distribution requirements across Western Canada. The role includes acting as the regulator-appointed officer for licensing and supervising the licensed business.

You will ensure compliance across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba and maintain appropriate regulatory appointments. Qualified candidates will hold Life Licence across four provinces or be eligible to obtain them,

Qualifications

• Completion of the Life Licence Qualification Program.
• Life licence in BC, AB, SK, MB or ability to obtain all four.
• Minimum 3 years of compliance experience in life insurance or financial services.
• Working knowledge of provincial insurance legislation across the four Western provinces.
• Knowledge of CCIR and CISRO guidance and fair treatment of customers.
• Working knowledge of FINTRAC requirements and Canadian privacy legislation.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare policies and regulatory reports.
• Clean regulatory record and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee corporate compliance across Western Canada including licensing, policies, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead AML program development, risk assessments, and mandatory reporting.
• Manage privacy program under PIPEDA and local acts; supervise regulatory appointments.
• Ensure online distribution compliance and customer disclosures during sales.
