Location : Downtown Toronto – Hybrid (4 times per week on-site)

Our client, a boutique insurance brokerage, is seeking an Insurance Assistant to support the Commercial Lines team by providing attentive and effective client service while reinforcing and developing client / broker relationships.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a brokerage (including co-op placements) or formal insurance education. If you have a background in personal lines and are looking to transition into commercial lines, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities :

• Issue certificates of insurance and submit to insurers and clients.
• Issue automobile liability cards and distribute as directed.
• Confirm auto insurance for new vehicles with dealerships and submit to insurers.
• Send second requests and follow up with insurers on outstanding endorsements.
• Review endorsements for discrepancies, consulting with practice specialists as needed, and request re-issuance for incorrect documents.
• Respond to Lienholder / Lessor / Mortgagee requests for insurance copies.

Qualifications :

• RIBO license is a nice to have.
• Previous insurance brokerage experience or insurance education is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and underwriting processes is an asset.
