Job summary

Western Financial Group in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking an Insurance Advisor to manage a national book of small business accounts. The role reports to the Manager, Growth Administration and includes presenting a new service to clients under a premium threshold.

The position emphasizes sales, client relationships, policy management, and client service across Canada. Salary range is $45,000–$55,000, full-time hours, located in Winnipeg with wellness and benefits programs.

Qualifications

• General Insurance Level 1 License and Commercial Lines experience are assets.
• Experience achieving sales targets individually and as a team.
• Strong sales and communication skills.
• Involvement in industry-related associations and the community.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on client accounts to resolve outstanding activities.
• Build relationships with insurance providers and stay current on product knowledge.
• Review client data entries, invoicing and coverage selection for compliance.
• Complete certificate issuance for new business and renewals.
• Process changes to insurance policies and endorsements.
• Assist with administration of the commercial book of business.
• Conduct sales calls and upsell products to clients to grow the business.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and community involvement.

Insurance Advisor

In this role, you will be part of a team of Commercial Advisors managing a national book of small business accounts. You will report to the Manager, Growth Administration and have the opportunity to offer this new and dynamic service for our clients under a specified premium threshold.

Here is what a typical day looks like

• Follow up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities
• Remain up to date on product knowledge and build relationships with insurance providers
• Review client data entries, invoicing and coverage selection for compliance
• Complete certificate issuance for new business and renewal clients
• Process changes to insurance policies and endorsements
• Assist with the administration of the commercial book of business accurately and efficiently
• Conduct sales calls and up-sell products to new and existing clients to contribute to the growth of the business
• Continue self-development through industry and community involvement, training and other courses

The value you bring

• Well versed in navigating multiple computer programs as once
