Job summary

The Personal Insurance Company is seeking an Insurance Account Representative to join the Desjardins Agent team in Sarnia, ON. The role focuses on developing leads, assessing customer needs, and marketing suitable insurance products while delivering exceptional service.

Training and licensing are provided for up to 90 days, with potential for employment with an independent contractor for Desjardins Agent upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in retail, outside or inside sales, or telemarketing.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals or quotas.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proactive problem-solving and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to deliver presentations to potential customers.
• Property & Casualty license preferred or able to obtain.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
• Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.

Requirements:

• Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
• Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
