Job Description

This position requires a candidate with a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 2 years of experience. The role involves working with odours, dusty environments, cold/refrigerated areas, confined spaces, at heights, and in all weather conditions.

Tasks

1. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
2. Select the type of insulation required.
3. Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
4. Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application methods.
5. Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
6. Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
7. Brush waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials.
8. Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers.
9. Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment.
10. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
11. Set up machines and equipment.
12. Clean and maintain equipment.
13. Assist in operation, repair, and maintenance.
14. Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
15. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
16. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
17. Ensure safety procedures are followed.
