Job summary

OxyChem in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is seeking an Instrumentation / Electrician Technician to join our 24/7 manufacturing team. You will perform PMs, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, valves, transmitters, and analyzers, and read drawings to follow exact specifications.

Qualified candidates hold a C of Q in instrumentation or electrical trades, have a valid driver’s license, and are comfortable working overtime, weekends, and in confined spaces at a chemical plant.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate of Qualification in Instrumentation or Electrician.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document PMs.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment, valves and instruments.
• Read drawings and follow specifications.
• Respond to alarms and operate on a 24/7 schedule as required.
