Job summary

Ecovyst, Inc. in Timmins, Ontario, seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician for Calabrian to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in a chemical plant.

You will read P&IDs and schematics, support PLCs, VFDs, and networked control systems, and collaborate with Operations to improve reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. On-call readiness and strong problem-solving are required.

Qualifications

2+ years of industrial E&I maintenance experience.
Electrical and/or Instrumentation Technician certificate/diploma or equivalent training.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and control systems.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance on plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical equipment throughout the facility.
Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, networked control systems, and related automation equipment.
Read, interpret, and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
Inspect, test, and repair electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment per manufacturer specs.
Complete required maintenance documentation and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
