Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls/Industrial Automation Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team. You will contribute to I&C and automation design for mining, power, oil & gas, and renewable energy projects across North America.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, lead or support design on diverse projects, and travel ~10% to client sites or other Stantec offices. A PE license is preferred and mining experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, mining, oil & gas, power generation.
• Professional Engineering license (or ability to become licensed).

Responsibilities

• Engineering support for multidisciplinary projects from proposals through design phases (PFS, FS, detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-up).
• Site work including investigations, validations, construction, commissioning and start‑up support.
