Key Responsibilities:

Depending on the project phase, tasks may include:

Control System Tasks:

• Review and interpret current technical documentation (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, cable block diagrams).
• Understand and interpret ladder logic diagrams.
• Support the design and preparation of control panels.
• Define system functional and performance requirements, including control logic, algorithms, setpoints, and wiring arrangements.

Instrumentation Tasks:

• Read and interpret P&IDs with instrumentation details.
• Populate P&IDs with correct instrumentation symbols.
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for equipment procurement (to be handed over to procurement teams).

Candidate Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Hands-on experience with instrumentation such as: Pressure transmitters, Flow meter, Transmitters, Vibration monitoring systems, Speed sensors, Level switches
• Strong control system engineering experience: Functional/performance requirement definition, Control logic and wiring design, Development of control algorithms and parameter tuning
• Nuclear sector experience, preferably with: Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Bruce Power
