Salary Information

Salary will be determined in accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, based on the candidate's education and experience.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for instructing mathematics & physics courses to students enrolled in a variety of programs.
  • Plan and deliver course objectives.
  • Evaluate and assess student learning.
  • Organize and manage instructional materials and the learning environment.
  • Provide academic advice to learners relating to their programs and courses.
  • Participate in accreditation reviews.
  • Perform other related as required.
Screening Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree with a minor or major in Mathematics and major in Physics.
  • Bachelor of Education (Secondary or Post-Secondary).
Assessment Criteria
  • Knowledge of core mathematical & physic concepts and principles .
  • Ability to facilitate learning and deliver instruction.
  • Proficiency and/or a willingness to embrace teaching and learning technologies.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence and supporting and delivering a positive student learning experience.

  • When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided.
  • Verification of credentials and applicable licenses, certifications, and/or professional memberships as required for the position.
    • Credentials obtained outside of Canada will require an evaluation to determine their Canadian educational equivalency. This evaluation must support the educational requirements for the position.

  • Acknowledges that courses may be assigned outside the instructor’s regular area of instruction based on their qualifications.
