Duties And Responsibilities

The Clerk Typist III provides essential clerical and administrative support to College of the North Atlantic's Prince Philip Drive Campus. This front-line role is responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure efficient campus operations and excellent service delivery:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and the public by providing front desk support, responding to inquiries in person, by telephone, and email, and directing individuals to the appropriate department or resource.
  • Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to campus operations.
  • Administer cashiering services, including receiving and processing payments, issuing receipts, and balancing daily cash transactions.
  • Prepare invoices, enter requisitions, process related documentation, and perform other financial and administrative data entry.
  • Maintain student grades in the PeopleSoft system and prepare official student documentation, including transcripts, certificates, and confirmation letters.
  • Prepare, print, amend, and distribute T2202A tax forms and respond to related student inquiries.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using a variety of software applications, including PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office, for word processing, spreadsheet development, document preparation, and related administrative functions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Provide additional administrative support as required to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the campus.
Screening Criteria
  • Diploma in Office Administration ( equivalencies will be considered ).
  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar administrative role, providing front-line support to clients or the public.
