Saskatchewan Polytechnic Regina Campus is seeking an Instructor for Computer Systems Technology (Casual - Fall 2026). You will design training materials, deliver lessons, and evaluate students in a dynamic, hands-on setting.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Computer Science with relevant experience, plus strong communication, teamwork and instructional abilities. Start date 11/17/2026 and end date 11/28/2026; open to ongoing casual assignments as needed.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or closely related field with two years' recent, relevant experience in two areas.
  • Alternatively, a CS diploma with at least five years' relevant experience in two areas.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and instructional abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Select, design, update and construct training aids/materials.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations.
  • Evaluate students via exams, assignments and observations.
  • Supervise students in classroom, shop, labs and tours.
  • Counsel students on program and job opportunities.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance and supplies procurement.
  • Attend staff meetings and workshops to stay current with requirements.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate clearly in oral and written form.

1. Select, design, update and construct training aids/materials.
2. Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations.
3. Evaluate students through the use of exams, assignments and observations and record student progress.
4. Supervise students in classroom, shop, labs and during tours.
5. Counsel students and prospective students on matters pertaining to the program and job opportunities.
6. Assist in/arrange for equipment maintenance/repair within the program and order supplies.
7. Attend whenever possible, staff meetings, trade seminars, workshops, etc. to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
8. Practice good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a "team" environment.
9. Communicate in a clear and concise manner both orally and in written form.
