Job summary

Algonquin College in Ottawa is seeking a Learning and Teaching Services professional to design and deliver courses across face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. The role advises faculty on learning theory, instructional design processes, and educational technology, guiding course development and revisions with SMEs and Chairs.

The successful candidate will manage projects, ensure alignment with QA standards and accessibility, stay current with research, and develop professional learning

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year degree in Education, Curriculum/Instructional Design or related field.
• Certificates or courses in Instructional Design, LMSs, multimedia, or other eLearning tools.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in an education or training field.
• Minimum of one year working in instructional design, curriculum design, educational technology or related.

Responsibilities

• Advise faculty on learning theory, instructional design strategies.
• Guide course development and revisions for face-to-face, online, and hybrid delivery.
• Ensure courses align with QA standards, accessibility, and policies.
• Collaborate with Curriculum Consultants, SMEs, and other specialists on projects.
• Develop and facilitate professional learning opportunities for faculty.
