Job summary

Kendrix Technologies is a Mississauga, ON-based security systems integrator seeking an Installation Technician to support field operations. You will independently install CCTV, intrusion, intercom systems, and structured cabling, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality across projects.

The role requires 3+ years in electronic security, the ability to read drawings, and fluent English. You will mentor junior technicians, coordinate with other trades on active sites, and contribute to on‑time

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in electronic security or low‑voltage installations.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and system drawings.
• Strong understanding of electronic security devices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience using power tools including hammer drills, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Proficient with test equipment including: Multimeters, network testers and scanners.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for basic data import/export.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Follow company standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Independently install and support CCTV, intrusion, intercom, structured cabling, and conduit systems.
• Perform system integration and software installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Work safely from ladders and lifts; attend job-site meetings as required.
• Coordinate work with other trades on active construction sites.
• Perform networking tasks including LAN/WAN setup and basic router config.
• Produce test and commissioning reports; complete close-out documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and support senior staff on complex installations.
