Job summary

Municipality of East Hants, Nova Scotia, Canada is seeking casual Arts and Crafts Instructors to support the Hants North region. The role involves sharing passion for arts and crafts and delivering engaging programming to participants of all ages in a safe, inclusive environment.

Collaborate with the Community Recreation Coordinator to provide community programs in schools and halls with hours typically 5–10 per week at an hourly rate of $25.25, while ensuring compliance with background checks

Qualifications

Certification, or proof of training or experience in a particular art or craft.
Experience leading programming for groups of all ages preferred, preference for specific age groups will also be considered.
Basic Workplace First Aid, training can be arranged, willingness to obtain required
Clean Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Checks
Solid understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with skills to foster a welcoming and accessible environment for all participants

Responsibilities

Instructors work with our Community Recreation Coordinator to deliver community programming to groups of all ages in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
Programs will be offered in schools and community halls in the Hants North region.
