Job summary

A.T.L.A.S. Aéronautik is seeking a machinist to measure and inspect precision parts for aerospace manufacturing. You will read engineering drawings, lay out work pieces, and verify dimensions with precision instruments on-site.

The role requires the ability to maintain inspection records, report deviations, and ensure conformity to specifications while working under tight deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years experience
• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
• Machinist Trade Certification

Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
• Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
• Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Check products for quality control
