Job summary

BDO Canada LLP in Oshawa is seeking an Insolvency Advisor to join the Personal Debt Solutions team. This replacement role requires in-office presence and will focus on consultations, bankruptcies, proposals, and client file preparation.

You will build relationships with debtors and creditors, review forms, and support community outreach, presentations, and digital promotions to grow the service offering.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in customer service, financial services insolvency, banking, credit counseling, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in varied situations.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with insolvency processes is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations to assess debtor situations and advise on options.
• Assist debtors and creditors in bankruptcies and proposals, in person and by phone.
• Review interview forms and prepare files for client signing.
• Engage in community outreach, presentations, and social media to promote personal debt solutions.
