Consolidated Gypsum Supply in Edmonton is seeking an Inside Sales/Warehouse Material Handler to join our branch. This dual-role covers sales on the desk and operating a forklift in the yard/warehouse, supporting customers including contractors.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently looking to fill a Inside Sales/Warehouse Material Handler position at our branch in Edmonton. This is a unique dual-role where the individual will work in both the sales and operations sides of the business.

This position will play a key role on the sales desk selling building materials to our clients including general contractors, home builders, and drywall, insulation and roofing contractors and will also be expected to operate a forklift and work in the yard/warehouse in all weather conditions to load and unload building materials.

INSIDE SALES (approx 70%)

• Greet customers, answer phone, respond to emails on the sales desk
• Provide assistance to customers through quoting and ordering process
• Produce packing slips for pick-up, delivered, or direct transactions
• Advise customers on use and care of merchandise
• Maintain customer files
• Execute the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process
• Keep up to date with new products
• Accept payment as outlined by Sales Policy and Procedure Manual
• Organize showroom merchandise
• Review stocking levels and ensure quantity is reasonable
• Design Showroom for client purchase optimization
• Complete opening and closing tasks
• Other duties as directed by the Branch/Operations Manager

WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLER (approx 30%)

• Operate propane forklift to load and unload building materials
• Pick orders
• Serve pick up customers
• Maintain high level of communication with Sales desk
• Rotate inventory as required
• Prepare inventory for efficient cycle counts
• Maintain clean warehouse environment

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma
• Previous experience in sales
• Able to lift up to 75lbs including drywall
• Excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must submit a satisfactory criminal record check
