Job summary

NOV, a global leader in engineered lifting and load monitoring solutions, seeks an Inside Sales Specialist in Canada to support the commercial team by managing customer orders and coordinating sales operations. You will ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment while enabling outside sales to focus on strategic engagement.

Responsibilities include processing orders in ERP/CRM, preparing quotes and documentation, maintaining CRM data, and collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain,

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of inside sales, sales support, customer service, or order management.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or similar platforms and CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent collaboration across sales, operations, engineering, supply chain, finance, and customer service teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete customer order lifecycle from entry to invoicing.
  • Process orders accurately in ERP and CRM.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, pricing, and commercial documentation.
  • Serve as primary contact for customers on order status.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to fulfill orders.
  • Maintain CRM data on opportunities, quotations, and orders.
  • Review POs, acknowledgements, shipping docs, and customer communications.
  • Track open orders and resolve delays.
  • Support sales forecasting with pipeline data.
  • Assist with contract review and commercial compliance.
  • Generate sales and performance reports.
  • Support customer visits and trade shows to improve processes.
  • Promote NOV HSE policies.

As the Cranesmart business continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Specialist to support the commercial team by managing customer orders, coordinating sales operations, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role will enable the outside sales team to focus on strategic customer engagement and business development while delivering an exceptional customer experience through efficient order management and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the complete customer order lifecycle, including order entry, tracking, shipment, and invoicing.
  • Process customer orders accurately within ERP and CRM systems.
  • Support the outside sales team by preparing quotations, proposals, pricing, and commercial documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order status and related communications.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, quotation, and order information within CRM systems.
  • Review purchase orders, prepare acknowledgements, shipping documentation, and customer correspondence.
  • Track open orders, communicate potential delays, and proactively resolve order‑related issues.
  • Support sales forecasting by maintaining accurate pipeline and order data.
  • Assist with contract review and commercial compliance activities.
  • Generate sales, order status, and performance reports for the commercial team.
  • Support customer visits, trade shows, sales meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes and customer responsiveness.
  • Promote compliance with NOV HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or order management.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or similar platforms and Dynamics 365 (or similar CRM systems)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, operations, engineering, supply chain, finance, and customer service teams.
