Inside Sales Representative/Senior Inside Sales Representative

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Inside Sales Representative located in Vaughan, Newmarket, or the Toronto area. (3 vacancies)

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for promoting products and services to customers.

The ISR is accountable for responding promptly to customer inquiries, making outbound calls to potential customers, and preparing customer quotes. He/she is also responsible for preparing small order quotes on urgent contracting jobs, offering product knowledge to customers, and expediting orders efficiently.

Other duties may include assisting the warehouse and counter areas as well as participating in other company events.

Qualifications

  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence to customers, and speak effectively over the telephone, providing appropriate products and services.
  • Listening - Practices attentive and active listening; has patience to hear people out; accurately restates opinions of others even when he/she disagrees.
  • Learning on the Fly - Learns quickly when facing new problems; is a versatile learner; open to change; analyzes successes and failures for improvement clues; experiments and tries new solutions; enjoys challenges of unfamiliar tasks; quickly understands core concepts.
  • Attention to Detail - Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize work with limited oversight.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the Canadian Electrical Industry.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proficient in computer software, especially Excel and AS400.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a willingness to go above and beyond to meet customer needs.
