Job summary

Wolseley Canada seeks an Inside Sales Representative to support inbound inquiries and sales orders, ensuring timely processing and delivery that meet customer requirements. This role supports the Wolseley Waterworks division nationwide, in a fast-paced branch environment.

Responsibilities include accurate order entry, pricing, quotations, and building relationships with customers; you will upsell, answer inquiries, and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Inside sales or counter sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience with engineered waterworks products is preferred.
  • Fluency in French and English is an asset.
  • Proficient with AS400 or similar ERP systems is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the order process including pricing terms and generating sales orders.
  • Enter quotations and orders accurately into the system.
  • Provide customers with pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
  • Make sales calls to new and existing customers to grow business.
  • Prepare quotations and process orders for outside sales staff.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Aim to achieve sales targets and objectives set by management.
  • Understand customer needs and upsell products.
  • Assist customers at the counter with excellent service.
  • Support warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, and inventory.
  • Operate tow-motor/forklifts safely when certified.
  • Use AS400 and internal systems to process orders and track inventory.
  • Adhere to company safety policies.

The Opportunity

As an Inside Sales Representative your responsibilities include supporting inbound inquiries & sales orders ensuring processing and delivery meets customers’ requirements.

What will you do
  • Responsible for completing the order process which includes offering pricing terms according to established margins; sourcing of additional products; and generating sales orders.
  • Responsible to accurately enter quotations and orders into the system.
  • Responsible to ensure customers are provided with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
  • Required to make sales calls to new and existing customers to maintain relationships and cultivate additional business.
  • Responsible for preparing quotations and processing orders on behalf of outside sales staff.
  • Responsible for responding to customers' requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and objectives as set by the manager.
  • Required to understand customer needs and promote and upsell products.
  • Assist customers at the counter and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic branch environment.
  • Support warehouse operations as required, including receiving, picking, packing, and inventory-related activities.
  • Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner, including tow-motors/forklifts where certified.
  • Utilize AS400 and other internal systems to process orders, track inventory, and support branch operations.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and regulations.
What will you bring
  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Previous inside sales, counter sales, or other sales-related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with engineered waterworks products and industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong understanding of waterworks products, applications, and customer requirements.
  • Must be computer literate; experience with AS400 systems is considered a strong asset.
  • Valid tow-motor/forklift certification is an asset.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Fluency in both French and English would be an asset.

Existing Vacancy - Backfill Posting Range - $60,000 + 4% Bonus #INDSAL
