Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for the Grande Prairie location. You will support customers with product selection, pricing, quotations, and orders while building strong customer relationships.

Ideal candidates have customer-focused sales experience in related industries and a willingness to work across sales, warehouse, and delivery functions. The role offers a collaborative, fast-paced branch environment with opportunities to contribute to business growth and product

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field is an asset.
• Inside sales experience in construction, HVAC/plumbing/waterworks is preferred.
• Valves experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicle.
• Willingness to support multiple branch operations.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; AS400 is a plus.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Process the order flow, pricing terms, and generate sales orders.
• Enter quotations and orders accurately and timely.
• Provide pricing, inventory, and delivery information to customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers by phone and email.
• Prepare quotations and process orders for outside sales staff.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Achieve sales targets by promoting products and upselling.
• Assist warehouse, yard, and delivery functions as needed.
• Perform local deliveries and customer pickups when required.
• Participate in branch on-call rotation after training.

The Opportunity

Join the Grande Prairie location as an Inside Sales Representative, where you’ll support customers with product selection, pricing, quotations, and order processing while building strong customer relationships. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional looking to grow their industry knowledge and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced branch environment.

What you will do:

• Complete the order process, including offering pricing terms according to established margins, sourcing additional products, and generating sales orders.
• Enter quotations and orders into the system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide customers with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers by phone and email to drive additional business.
• Prepare quotations and process orders on behalf of outside sales staff.
• Respond to customer requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Achieve sales targets and objectives by promoting and upselling products.
• Support branch operations by assisting with warehouse, yard, and inventory-related activities as required.
• Perform local deliveries and customer pickups when needed.
• Participate in the branch on-call rotation once fully trained and scheduled.
• Adhere to company safety policies and regulations.

What you will bring:

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• Previous inside sales experience in the construction, HVAC, plumbing, waterworks, or related industry preferred.
• Experience with valves and valve estimation is considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle when required.
• Willingness to support multiple areas of branch operations, including sales, warehouse, yard, and delivery functions.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; AS400 experience is an asset.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
