As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a proactive, data-driven, and people-focused Inside Sales Manager to lead and expand our inside sales function.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the inside sales team to drive revenue growth, improve sales processes, and support key customer relationships. This role combines strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure Smart Vision Lights remains a leader in customer engagement and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the inside sales team to exceed performance metrics.
  • Provide regular feedback, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-first culture.

Sales Process Management

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including quoting, lead management, and follow-ups.
  • Refine and document sales workflows to increase efficiency and CRM usage (HubSpot).
  • Coordinate with marketing to ensure timely follow-up on inbound leads and campaigns.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as an escalation point for key accounts and distributor inquiries.
  • Support the field sales team with account research, quoting, and order tracking.
  • Build trusted relationships with strategic customers and partners.

Data & Reporting

  • Monitor KPIs and provide weekly/monthly reports on inside sales activity and performance.
  • Use data to identify gaps, forecast sales, and recommend corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Align with marketing on campaign goals, feedback, and lead quality.
  • Participate in product launches, trade show prep, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in inside sales, customer success, or sales operations, preferably in a technical/B2B setting.

• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Experience in industrial automation, optics, lighting, or machine vision preferred.

• Strong knowledge of CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).

• Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.

• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
