GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION

The Inside Sales Account Specialist's mission is to manage the full sales cycle and order processing of accounts while providing a high standard of customer service.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Customer Contact

  1. Maintain critical business relationships with customers and create new business opportunities.
  2. Respond to customer needs and ensure timely communication and follow-up.
  3. Analyze business performance and deliver recommendations to drive sales growth based on market and customer needs.
  4. Resolve issues between the business and customers, escalating significant issues to management.
  5. Channel product returns through the customer complaint reporting process.
  6. Convey competitive information, market insights, and customer product demands to appropriate staff and management.

Customer Quotations

  1. Prepare customer quotations based on established pricing guidelines, ensuring timely addressing of customer requirements.
  2. Follow up on customer quotations and gather feedback on pricing and timing of potential purchases.
  3. Highlight quotation opportunities to management and the outside sales team.

Order Entry and Follow-Up

  1. Enter orders as received, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantity, and other customer requirements.
  2. Proactively inform customers of late or potentially late orders.
  3. Expedite and follow up on customer orders to keep customers informed of order status and shipment information.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  1. Applied post-secondary education.
  2. 2-3 years of B2B experience.
  3. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  4. Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  5. Proven business and operational experience.
  6. Relationship-building capabilities to source and develop opportunities and close sales.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  9. Client-focused, responsive, service-oriented, persuasive, and flexible.
