Job summary

Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) in Alexandria, Ontario invites a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehab team serving adults with communication and swallowing disorders.

You will provide assessment and treatment, collaborate with stroke rehab and general medicine teams, and support staff education on communication strategies. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, be CASLPO registered, and fluent in French and English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
• Bilingualism: verbal and written communication in both French and English.
• Strong clinical reasoning, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and treatment for adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Work in a progressive, multi-professional rehab team with stroke/rehab and general medicine patients.
• Educate staff on supportive communication strategies to aid patient care and transitions.
