Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in the Medicine unit. The RN delivers comprehensive patient care, promotes health and prevention, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic hospital setting.

Candidates should hold a Certificate of Competence, current BCLS, and maintain ongoing education; gerontology and medical/surgical certifications are assets. PRHC offers strong rewards, pension, on-site gym, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence.
• Current medical nursing experience.
• Current BCLS.
• Evidence of continuing education.
• Gerontology certificate preferred.
• CAN Nurses Association Medical/Surgical certificate an asset.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides comprehensive care to patients including stable and unstable cases.
• The nurse promotes health, prevents illness and supports patient independence.
• Practice is aligned with College of Nurses of Ontario Professional Standards.
