Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medicine – B6 unit on a part-time, fixed-term basis. The role involves delivering comprehensive care for patients, with emphasis on assessment, documentation and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will hold a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and demonstrate ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current medical nursing experience preferred.
  • Continuing education evidence.
  • Gerontology certificate preferred.
  • Medical/Surgical certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with varying stability and outcomes.
  • Promote health and prevent illness within the unit.
  • Document assessments and care plans clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support patient needs.
