Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre invites applications for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Medicine - B6. This temporary, part-time role is based in Peterborough, Ontario, with shifts across days, nights, weekends and holidays. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and union CUPE membership.

End date: 2027-06-27. The RPN provides client care per Ontario standards, with emphasis on health promotion, preventive care, and attainable outcomes for relatively stable conditions.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Recent medical nursing experience preferred.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Current Medication Administration certificate and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide client care per College of Nurses of Ontario standards.
• Promote health, prevent illness, and achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Work within a health care team and coordinate with physicians.
• Adapt care for stable, less complex conditions.
