Job summary

North York General Hospital seeks an Inpatient Coding Specialist to accurately code and abstract patient health information using ICD-10-CA/CCI and WinRecs (Med2020). The role supports CIHI submissions, QA processes, and hospital data integrity.

You have a Health Information Management degree, CHIM credential, and CHIMA certification, plus experience in acute care coding and strong typing skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Health Information Management program and CHIM in good standing.
• Successful completion of the National Certification Exam through CHIMA.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract health information using ICD-10-CA/CCI and WinRecs (Med2020).
• Meet coding productivity benchmarks and participate in month-end CIHI submissions.
• Support QA with Crystal Reports and maintain accurate health records.
