Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital seeks a Health Information Management professional to join our coding team on days. You will code and abstract inpatient encounters using ICD-10-CA/CCI guidelines and ensure data integrity across the patient journey.

Candidates must have a Health Information Management Diploma and CHIMA certification, with strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work under deadline pressure in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Health Information Management Diploma Program recognized by CCHIM at certificant level.
• Member in good standing with CHIMA maintained through ongoing CPE credits.
• Minimum of three (3) years previous experience.
• Thorough knowledge of HIIM flow and coding standards; ICD-10-CA/CCI.
