Job summary

Stantec in Québec is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer to join our Buildings team. Based in Montréal, Laval, Trois-Rivières, Québec City, or Longueuil, you will design concrete, steel and timber structures and contribute to plans and specifications.

As part of a multidisciplinary group of architects, engineers and designers, you will perform site surveys, assist in cost estimates, coordinate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• DEC in Civil Engineering or Architecture is required with at least 3 years of building structural experience.
• Proficiency with Revit and MS Office applications.
• Strong written and spoken French; English is an asset; valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Designing and drafting a variety of structural projects of varying scope and complexity.
• Performing field surveys and site measurements.
• Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, plans, and specifications.
• Participating in structural inspections.
• Coordinating activities with project stakeholders.
• Applying company procedures and standards, as well as client requirements.
• Providing technical support to colleagues, collaborators, and clients.
• Performing other related duties to support the successful delivery of projects.
