Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil/Structural engineer to join our Québec offices (Montréal, Laval, Trois-Rivières, Québec City, or Longueuil). You will design concrete, steel and timber structures, perform calculations, and contribute to plans and specifications for a range of projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, architects and clients, along with site reviews and construction oversight. A 3+ year background and OIQ membership are preferred; English communication is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering mentioned as required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience cited.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) stated.
• Experience in consulting engineering is an asset.
• Dynamic, proactive and team-oriented with collaboration focus.
• Good command of English (spoken and written) preferred for cross‑team work.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for plans and specifications.
• Design and contribute to plans and specifications for varied projects.
• Conduct structural surveys and inspections of building structures.
• Prepare studies, technical reports and expert assessments.
• Provide technical and administrative support during site reviews.
• Oversee structural work during construction.
• Lead structural engineering projects and manage client follow-up on budgets and schedules.
