First Nations University of Canada invites applications for the position of Sessional Instructor for INHS 450 S90 in Winter 2027. The incumbent will teach in accordance with university guidelines, monitor discussions, prepare outlines and exams, and provide academic counselling to students in a community-based health practices course offered online and on-site.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required
• Post-secondary teaching experience preferred
• Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
• Cross-cultural experience an asset
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and adhere to academic reporting requirements

Responsabilités

• Teach INHS 450 S90 in Winter 2027 following university guidelines
• Monitor and facilitate class discussions and assign grades
• Prepare course outlines and final exams
• Provide academic counselling to students
• Invigilate, grade and submit mid-term and final exams and papers
• Support students with homework and exam preparation
• Consult with Department Heads on academic matters
• Perform other duties per Collective Agreement as a unionized position
