Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead electro‑mechanical design and delivery for AIS and GIS projects in Canada. You will coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of quality, safety and execution.

The role requires 4–8 years of relevant experience, a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, and fluency in French and English. Hybrid work is supported with strong learning opportunities and career growth.

Formación

• Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• OIQ membership or licensed in another Canadian province.
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, NEC, and ANSI/IEEE.
• Experience in high‑voltage transmission substations.
• Experience with AIS and/or GIS substations.
• Proficiency in BIM, ACC, and Revit.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering services for AIS and GIS substations through proposal, design, and construction.
• Develop electro‑mechanical deliverables: single‑line diagrams, layouts, grounding, station service, raceways, BOMs.
• Coordinate engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Review deliverables for technical quality, reliability and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare engineering schedules, work plans, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support during testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Work with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
