  • Conduct fatigue, crack propagation, and damage tolerance analyses for primary and repaired structures.
  • Develop and validate structural justification plans (analyses and tests) in line with applicable certification requirements.
  • Review, revise, and approve analysis reports and certification data.
Support for Design, Repairs, and Testing
  • Collaborate with designers to define materials, thicknesses, structural concepts, fasteners, and repair sequences.
  • Identify load paths, validate structural concepts, and compare solutions to optimize weight or repair complexity.
  • Prepare or review structural test plans and support the test team by interpreting results and guiding test preparation and execution.
Certification and Technical Liaison
  • Work closely with certification delegates to define analytical approaches and present the proposed structural justification.
  • Advise on feasibility, structural risks, certification strategies, and critical technical decisions, especially for urgent operational events in the field.

  • Contribute to the evolution of SFRG methods, tools, guides, and standards to improve the quality and efficiency of justifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, certification reviews, and other multidisciplinary interactions.
Position Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in stress analysis of aeronautical structures, ideally including repairs, modifications, or in-service approvals.
  • Advanced mastery of classical analysis methods for metallic and composite structures.
  • Expertise in fatigue, crack propagation, and damage tolerance analyses.
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis (Patran/Nastran).
  • In-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and aeronautical repair techniques.
  • Functional knowledge of CATIA V5/V6 (Enovia is an asset).
  • Functional proficiency in French and English.
