Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking a Stress Analysis Engineer – Damage Tolerance to join our Mirabel team. You will perform damage tolerance analyses on primary structural elements and develop fatigue spectra, validating results with tests.

Collaborate to improve design concepts, repairs, and certification tasks within aeronautics programs. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and 5+ years of airframe fatigue experience, with NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of stress analysis experience on metallic aircraft structures, focused on airframe fatigue and damage tolerance.
• Proficiency with NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, MS Office and Google Suite.

Job description

Your challenges:

• Perform damage tolerance analyses on primary structural elements (PSE)

• Make recommendations on design concepts and repair of aircraft structures
• Develop fatigue spectra
• Perform validations of damage tolerance analyses with experimental results

• Support the development of the maintenance manual in collaboration with the technical publications and maintenance engineering groups.
• Collaborate with suppliers, ensure compliance with the program's methodology and technical requirements
• Review supplier reports and analyses
• Prepare certification reports
  

Your profile:

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• You have at least five (5) years of experience in stress analysis of
• metallic aircraft structures, primarily as a specialist in airframe fatigue and damage tolerance
• Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, MS Office and Google Suite is mandatory

• Previous experience working on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset.
• Knowledge of non-destructive inspection (NDT) techniques would be an asset
• You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and are a team player
• You have good communication skills
• You must be able to read and communicate in French and English
