Job summary

Jobgether seeks an Infrastructure Territory Manager based in Canada to lead business development across Atlantic Canada in the water infrastructure sector. You will build trusted relationships with municipalities, engineers, distributors, and stakeholders, combining sales, product knowledge, and market development for long-term account growth.

You will influence specifications, identify needs, and develop value-added solutions while coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Business Admin, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience in waterworks/infrastructure/utilities.
  • Strong consultative selling with ability to translate customer needs into solutions.
  • Experience engaging municipalities, engineering firms, distributors, contractors, or similar stakeholders.
  • Commercial mindset with ability to set sales objectives and achieve measurable results.
  • Ability to work independently across a dispersed territory and collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, territory planning, and follow-up discipline.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships across Atlantic Canada.
  • Conduct customer visits with municipalities, engineers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop consultative sales strategies addressing customer challenges with value-added solutions.
  • Define product specifications with municipalities/engineers and influence purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals; manage opportunities through sales cycle.
  • Respond to questions and maintain high service levels.
  • Set territory sales goals aligned with budgets and priorities.
  • Coordinate with management and inside sales on opportunities and needs.
  • Organize sales and promotional activities including events and demonstrations.
  • Deliver product training and technical presentations to users and distributors.
  • Participate in trade organizations to raise market awareness.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop initiatives to increase sales; travel across territory.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infrastructure Territory Manager based in Canada.

This is an opportunity to lead business development across Atlantic Canada within the water infrastructure industry.
This will build trusted relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, distributors, and other key stakeholders across the territory.
The role combines consultative sales, technical product knowledge, market development, and long-term account management.
You will influence product specifications, identify customer needs, and develop value-added solutions that support critical water distribution infrastructure.
Working with both customers and internal sales teams, you’ll help grow revenue while strengthening market presence across the region.
The position offers significant autonomy, regular travel, and the opportunity to deepen your expertise in a highly specialized industry.
Success will come from being commercially driven, organized, relationship-oriented, and able to turn customer challenges into practical solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout the assigned Atlantic Canada territory.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and schedule appointments with municipalities, consulting engineers, distributors, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Develop consultative sales strategies that identify customer challenges and position appropriate, value-added solutions.
  • Establish product specifications with municipalities and consulting engineers and influence purchasing decisions through technical and commercial expertise.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals as required, following opportunities through the sales process.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer questions, issues, and requests while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Establish territory sales goals and specification objectives aligned with broader sales budgets and business priorities.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with management and inside sales teams to ensure opportunities and customer needs are properly managed.
  • Organize and participate in sales and promotional activities, including seminars, plant tours, trade shows, product demonstrations, and other industry events.
  • Deliver product training and technical presentations to end users, distributors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in trade organizations and industry networks to strengthen market awareness and promote solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the market, recommend growth strategies, and develop initiatives that increase sales within the territory.
  • Travel regularly throughout the territory to provide effective customer coverage and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements:
  • University degree or college diploma, ideally in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience within the waterworks, infrastructure, utilities, or a related industry; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Strong consultative selling abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with municipalities, engineering firms, distributors, contractors, or other infrastructure-sector stakeholders is an asset.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to establish sales objectives, identify opportunities, and work toward measurable results.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a geographically dispersed territory, and maintain productivity while collaborating effectively with a broader team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting products and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities, including effective territory planning, opportunity management, and follow-up.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Atlantic Canada, including Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.
