Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Solution Specialist II to lead design, implementation, and support of business and infrastructure systems in a multi-cloud environment in Vancouver, BC. The role focuses on Windows/Linux administration, AWS and Azure platforms, and providing technical consulting and architecture direction.

You will contribute to automation, security/identity management, disaster recovery, and ongoing modernization.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in Windows/Linux system administration.
  • 3+ years of hands-on AWS systems administration/engineering.
  • Expertise in Windows System Administration—Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
  • Proficiency with VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp, and networking/security best practices.
  • Technical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM) and Azure/O365 (Conditional Access, Identity Services).
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell and Python.
  • Knowledge of SLAs and OLAs.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support redundant systems and disaster recovery policies.
  • Manage and automate workloads in AWS and Azure cloud environments.
  • Implement and maintain identity, access management solutions (IAM, SSO).
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents across all environments to ensure reliability.
  • Oversee multi-tier architectures including load balancers, web/app servers, databases, and networking.
  • Deploy and maintain Azure/AWS systems to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
  • Research new technologies to support procurement and development.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation.

Insight Global is seeking a Solution Specialist II to join a dynamic team supporting an employer in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will take a lead role in designing, implementing, and supporting business and infrastructure systems in a multi cloud environment. Leveraging experience in Windows and Linux system administration, AWS, and Azure platforms, you will provide technical consulting, design architecture, and operational direction to drive infrastructure innovation and operational excellence.

In this role you will contribute to automation initiatives, security and identity management, and multi-tier architecture development. You'll also play a critical role in troubleshooting cmplex technical issues, designing disaster recovery solutions, and researching new technologies to ensure infrastructure aligns with best practices and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and support redundant systems, disaster recovery policies, and data archiving solutions to protect data assets.
  • Manage and automate workloads in cloud environments, utilizing AWS cloud technologies and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Implement and maintain security, identity, and access management solutions, including AWS IAM and Azure SSO.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents across all environments, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Oversee and support multi-tier architectures, including load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking.
  • Plan, deploy, and maintain Azure/AWS systems to meet operational and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to advocate for design strategies that leverage emerging technologies, frameworks, and processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) implementations.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations on new technologies and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain high‑quality documentation to ensure clear communication of technical solutions and processes.
