Infrastructure Lead

As an Infrastructure Lead, you will play a key role in building, managing and maintaining our Infrastructure, backup and operations to ensure the availability, security and reliability of our IT infrastructure. You will be overseeing and managing key infrastructure programs in support of Interac services. You will be responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining Interac’s network infrastructure, as well as managing and optimizing on-prem, cloud and hybrid cloud services. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms, and the ability to ensure the reliability and security of our systems.

This is a critical role where you will be heavily engaged in shaping the future of Canadian payment systems.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Implementing enterprise infrastructure and network programs and oversee day-to-day operational delivery to align with business objectives.
  • Partnering with product, development, AppOps, Security, DevSecOps teams to meet and exceed service standards and build scalable infrastructure solutions in accordance with the IT roadmap and strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable infrastructure solutions.
  • Leading IT planning and execution to support risk management, innovation, and continuous improvements across IT infrastructure operations.
  • Overseeing the design, deployment, and management of storage, compute, and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Monitoring system performance and driving continuous optimization of IT systems for improved uptime and efficiency.
  • Ensuring all infrastructure meets security and compliance standards, supporting Interac’s threat vulnerability management initiatives.
  • Overseeing infrastructure hardware and software lifecycle management, system network support, identity and access management and IT capacity and resiliency management.

You bring:

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proven experience in system administration, backup management, and patching operations.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure and cloud administration.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, cloud platforms, and infrastructure management best practices.
  • Proficiency in network and cloud monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Nice to have:

  • Relevant certifications, such as Cisco CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, are a plus.
  • ITIL V4 Certification or higher.
  • Experience managing Infrastructure and network programs in the Payments space.
