Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Canada is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Consultant for our Infrastructure Cost Assurance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will review incurred costs, scrutinize contractor submissions, and identify opportunities to improve cost and supply chain outcomes across major programs.

This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with procurement methods, and the ability to clearly present findings to clients.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Typically 3–6 years of post-graduate experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or related services.
• Familiarity with procurement methods and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Review and scrutinize actual incurred costs and identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and project outcomes.
• Analyze project costs, contractor submissions, and supporting documentation.
• Review contracts and commercial arrangements (Design-Build, Alliance, NEC, and other procurement models).
• Perform testing and validation of cost data using analytical techniques and tools.
• Prepare clear client reports with findings, observations and recommendations.
• Develop understanding of cost entitlement, contract compliance and financial controls.
