Job summary

School District 67 (Okanagan Skaha) is seeking an IT Systems Technician for a hands-on role supporting District IT infrastructure. The position offers a hourly wage of CAD 37.73 and a comprehensive benefits package after the CUPE collective agreement probationary period of 65 days.

The successful candidate will have extensive IT systems experience, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, with a valid Class 5 driver's license and the capacity to lift 40 kg as

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 and a 4-year Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• 5 years of related IT systems experience.
• Solid knowledge of IT systems including hardware, software and networking.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities professionally.
• Ability to manage time, stress and interruptions while handling several projects.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift 40 kg.

Job description

The Position: A challenging opportunity exists with SD 67 (Okanagan Skaha) in a position of IT Systems Technician.

The pay rate is $37.73 /hr plus a full benefit package (as per the CUPE Collective Agreement, after a 65 day probationary period). The successful candidate is also subject to a criminal record review.

The successful candidate should possess:

• Completion of Grade 12 and 4 year degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• 5 years related experience in Information Technology systems
• A thorough working knowledge and experience with information technology systems including
• hardware, software and networking applications and systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with possible conflicting priorities in a professional manner.
• Ability to manage time, stress and interruptions while managing several projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and communications skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 40 kgs
