Location: Remote (within Canada) | Occasional onsite in Edmonton, AB

Start Date: TBD

Working Hours: 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday–Friday (excluding holidays)

Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Equipment: Candidate must provide their own laptop (Windows preferred)

Job Overview:

This role supports the transition of PTS into a full-time, enterprise-wide digital adoption service. As an Intermediate IT Technical Business Analyst , you’ll collaborate across business and technical teams to assess needs, gather requirements, and help design and implement solutions that accelerate adoption, enhance collaboration, and improve digital maturity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs into detailed requirements and functional specifications.
• Evaluate current digital services and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design user-centric SOPs, user guides, dashboards, KPIs, and training resources.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams; facilitate feedback loops and communication.
• Develop community engagement, consultation, communication, and training plans.
• Collect, analyze, and present feedback and usage metrics on Microsoft 365 adoption.
• Support development of strategy documents, solution mockups, process models.
• Review service/technology requests, assess impacts, and make remediation recommendations.
• Assist with project coordination, including scope definition, planning, and stakeholder engagement.
• Participate in UAT, quality assurance, and change management activities.
• Ensure documentation, solution integration, and project deliverables align with stakeholder needs.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Must meet or exceed post-secondary education requirements in a related field (e.g., IT, Business Analysis, or related discipline).

Must Have:

• Education: Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business, or related field
• 3+ years experience translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications
• 3+ years experience coordinating technical teams in project delivery
• 3+ years experience defining project scope and stakeholder engagement
• 3+ years experience creating system design specifications and integration documentation
• 3+ years experience collecting requirements from cross-functional business units
• 3+ years hands-on experience as a Microsoft 365 specialist in user-facing tools (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years experience analyzing process maps and data flow diagrams
• 3+ years experience developing project documents for various IT initiatives
• 3+ years experience with ITSM tools and frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• 3+ years experience adapting to shifting priorities in project environments

Work Requirements:

• Remote work from anywhere in Canada; must be available for occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton (travel costs not reimbursed).
• Must use a personal computer with a modern Windows/macOS OS compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• AVD setup and credentials provided by client.
