Primary Care Alberta is seeking an Information Analyst to support Health Link 811 by designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, dashboards, and reports. You will use SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to drive performance insights.
This role requires an undergraduate degree in statistics or information analysis, five years of data analysis experience, and proficiency with Tableau, Epic, and Microsoft Office. The position is full-time, based in Calgary.
The Information Analyst reports to the Program Lead, Performance Analytics, Health Link 811, Primary Care Alberta. Works independently, receiving minimal guidance and direction and must establish in-depth knowledge and experience of all Health Link 811 processes to ensure the effective retrieval, analysis, and reporting of all program and client data collected by Health Link 811.
Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence (BI) solutions, including dashboards and reports using BI applications such as Tableau (or equivalent tools).Use SQL to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple data sources to support reporting and decision-making.Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency, and maintain the timely availability of valid and reliable information.Support quality and performance improvement initiatives by developing, enhancing, and streamlining electronic tools and reporting solutions.Translate complex data into meaningful insights and visualizations that support performance management and organizational objectives.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
Undergraduate degree in statistics, information analysis, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong analytical skills.
Five years of experience with data analysis. A broad understanding of relational databases with strong analytical skills and experience with scripting in SQL. Have passed the Epic Proficiency Test (or hold Epic certification in relevant modules). Experience with statistical programming and with data visualization tools such as Tableau. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
