Job summary

Porter Airlines is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to lead a 6-month fixed-term project revamping the Flight Attendant Manual to align with AOC consolidation and Transport Canada standards for Dash 8 and E195-E2 fleets. You will work independently with aviation documentation expertise and collaborate with SMEs across Inflight Services and Flight Operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical writing experience with regulatory/compliance documentation.
• 1 year of aviation industry experience with flight ops, cabin crew, or maintenance docs within a certificated airline.
• Ability to interpret CARs or equivalent regulatory frameworks in documentation context.
• Strong ability to work independently and meet hard deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional subject matter experts to validate technical content.
• Excellent written communication with high accuracy and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end revamp and consolidation of the Porter Flight Attendant Manual in support of AOC consolidation.
• Review FAM content across Dash 8 and E195-E2 fleet documentation and identify gaps and revisions.
• Rewrite and consolidate FAM content per Canadian Aviation Regulations and Transport Canada standards.
• Collaborate with SMEs in Inflight Services, Flight Operations, Regulatory and Standards, and Training to validate content accuracy.
• Manage document version control, revision tracking, and change management.
• Ensure the completed FAM is formatted, structured, and delivered on a regulatory deadline.
• Support IT-adjacent inflight and flight ops documentation projects as capacity allows.
• Provide technical writing guidance and documentation best practices to team members.
