Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a Senior Estimating Lead in Winnipeg, MB. You will coach estimating and project teams in using InEight Estimate and Control to build high-quality, standardized estimates, enabling reliable cost control, forecasting, and execution.

You will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding teams to adopt best practices and maintain conformance across estimation workflows. This is a leadership‑oriented, not hands‑on, coaching role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction estimating / cost development experience.
• Direct, hands‑on experience with InEight Estimate (required).
• Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, and project execution.
• Proven ability to coach, influence, and drive adoption without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Coach estimators and project teams on building, structuring, and maintaining estimates within InEight.
• Drive standardized estimate structures and workflows across the team.
• Provide practical guidance to improve estimate quality and system maturity.
• Ensure data integrity and alignment between estimates, execution, and reporting.
