Job summary

CHEK ABC, a Christian home education and online school serving BC, seeks an Educational Assistant to support two students in home-based learning.

You will travel to the students' homes, deliver individualized support, and collaborate with families to foster a positive learning environment. Experience with behavioural challenges is preferred; an Educational Assistant Certificate is an asset but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting elementary students with behavioural challenges.
• Educational Assistant Certificate/Behaviour Intervention training is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a home-based learning environment.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.

CHEK ABC is a Christian Home Education and On-Line school with students across BC. Our central office is located in beautiful Nelson.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Educational Assistant to provide individualized support to two (2) students in their home-based learning environments.

Rate per hour: $23 to $29

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience supporting elementary students with behavioural challenges.
• Educational Assistant Certificate/Behaviour Intervention training is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a home-based learning environment.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to reliably travel to and work at the student’s home-based learning location.
