Job summary

CHEK ABC is seeking a passionate Educational Assistant to provide individualized support for students in their home-based learning environment in British Columbia. You will work with students in a flexible setting, helping them access curriculum and stay on track.

Ideal candidates include college students, youth group leaders, and Sunday School teachers who can travel to students’ homes and collaborate with families. The role offers competitive hourly pay in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Behaviour Intervention training is an asset but not required.
• Experience with AAC tools and emotional regulation is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and with others in home-based learning settings.
• Must be able to reliably travel to the student’s home-based learning location.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Educational Assistant to provide individualized support for student in their home-based learning environment.

Rate per hour: $23 to $29

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Assistant Certificate/Behaviour Intervention training is an asset but not required
• Experience supporting students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and strategies, as well as emotionalregulation supports, is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a home-based learning environment.
• Ability to reliably travel to and work at the student's home-based learning location.
