Job summary

Graymont Limited is seeking a Full Time, Permanent Industrial Welder for the Exshaw Plant located 15 minutes East of Canmore on Highway 1A. Responsibilities include welding and fabrication of pumps, belts, and equipment in a 24x7 operation with Monday to Friday shifts and overtime as required.

Must hold Journeyman Welder Red Seal and have 3+ years of industrial experience; drug testing is required. Exshaw, AB is the site, offering a stable environment with strong safety culture and opportunities

Qualifications

• Journeyman Welder Red Seal Certification (Full or Partial qualification accepted).
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience.
• Class 5 Driver’s License with Clean Abstract.
• Minimum Grade 12 Education.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is essential, along with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to carry 50lbs.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Comply with and be a leader in all safety rules and standard safety practices.
• Conduct inspections and repairs of industrial equipment.
• Work in various environments (inside and outside).
• Graymont is a 24x7 operation with starting shift expectations: Monday to Friday.
• Overtime Pay as per the Union Agreement and respond (call-out) to all emergencies.
• Rebuild pumps, speed reducers, belt conveyors, and other types of equipment.
• Create work orders, advancing status, locating and issuing parts and providing a detailed description of the tasks accomplished in the work order.
• Execute layout, fabrication and implementation of new equipment installations.
• Cutting, brazing, and welding mild steel, stainless steel, brass, and aluminum.
