Qualifications

• Certified Industrial Millwright with Alberta Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Valid Class 5 drivers licence.
• Willing to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
• Install, align, and commission industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records (work orders, parts usage).

Baymag Inc., a leading industrial mineral producer specializing in Magnesium Oxide, is hiring a full‑time Industrial Millwright to join our Maintenance team in Exshaw, Alberta. This role is ideal for a journeyperson millwright with heavy industrial experience who values safety, reliability, and long‑term career stability.

As an Industrial Millwright, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery to support safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

YOUR VISION

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes to minimize downtime
• Install, align, and commission industrial machinery and mechanical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams
• Maintain detailed maintenance records (work orders, parts usage)
• Follow all site safety procedures, regulations, and policies

Shift Schedule

• 40‑hour work week
• 10‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Rotating on‑call rotation required

YOUR PASSION

Required Qualifications

• Certified Industrial Millwright (Alberta Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal)
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

Preferred Assets

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment
• Welding or fabrication experience
• Familiarity with CMMS maintenance systems
